Calibration Processes: PLX-HotStage
Several calibrations should be performed on the PLX-HotStage
This calibrates the LVDT against the z-axis actuator. For optimum machine and CORSICA operation, it is important that indents are performed to the correct depth. The LVDT allows the Plastometer to accurately achieve this.
The DAQ Offset records the sensor inputs at the time of installation. If these inputs are seen to deviate significantly, this information is used to determine a fault and limit machine functionality. In the event that this is detected, please check the power and USB connections to the rear of the Plastometer. Additionally, the user can restart the machine and software. If the issue persists, please contact Plastometrex at support@plastometrex.com.
This calibration finds reference heights of the indenter tip and profilometer relative to the LVDT. This allows the machine to operate optimally, ensuring fast and safe automation.
This calibrates the profilometer against a known indent depth, allowing for accurate measurement of indent profiles.
