Load cell reading too high

Load cell reading is higher than allowed
(the allowable value will depend on the operation taking place)

 

Troubleshooting Steps: 

• If it happens when trying to start an indent or profilometry:
  'Balance' the load cell at rest and retry
• If it happens when the indentation test is taking place, this means that the indent was trying to achieve a load > 9000 N:
  Review the indent set up (especially if using advanced parameters!)
• If it happens at an intermediate indentation state (when the tip is not in contact with the sample):
  re-do the 'machine Set Up' in 'Tools' and check that you have the correct tip assigned in CORSICA.
• If it happens when the profilometer is approaching the sample:
  'Balance' the profilometer at rest
