LVDT reading too high to start acquisition

Error Code 104 - LVDT__READING_TOO_HIGH_TO_START_EXPERIMENT

Meaning:

Triggered at the start of calibrations, indentation, and positioning for profilometry if the LVDT reading is not close to zero when you are about to start an operation.
 
Troubleshooting Steps: 
  • Check that the LVDT is not pressed when starting the test
    (Move crosshead up if needed) 
  • 'Balance' the LVDT while at its rest position so it is close to zero
  • Check that, when gently pressed, the LVDT responds as expected
  • Re-do the 'Machine Set Up' in the 'Tools' menu
