Stages not Connecting to CORSICA

The PLX-Benchtop stages move the profilometer in the x and y directions. If you notice an issue with the connection of one of the stages, follow these steps:

  • PLX-Benchtop Power: Confirm that the PLX-Benchtop is properly connected and powered on. Ensure the emergency stop  is not engaged (press and release to confirm).

  • USB Cable: Check that the USB cable is securely connected between the PLX-Benchtop and the PC. Try unplugging and reconnecting the cable, and consider using a different USB port on your computer.

  • Kinesis: Verify that the stage appears in the Kinesis software. Ensure it is connected, enabled, and homed properly.

  • Stage Drivers: Re-download and install the relevant VCP drivers for your system (Windows, as a setup executable).
