Surface tilt refers to the tilt in the test surface relative to its support surface(s). CORSICA assumes normal incidence of the indenter head to the sample surface.
For each profile scan carried out, a tilt calculation is made. The values are then used by the software to warn the user of potential errors that may be encountered. We recommend that tilt is kept below 2°.
